$11.00 ADS ON THE WORD 1100

The Word 1100 was started in 2005 by Minister Michael Freeman aka Da Minista.  This internet gospel radio station serves only one purpose, which is to uplift the Kingdom of God through music ministry that our youth and todays more urbanized Christian can relate with.  We also give an avenue and a voice to those that have the talent to accomplish this feat.

“Da Minista” Mike Freeman was chosen by God to reach out to the young lost souls and give them an opportunity for the gift of praise. 

Da Minista has known his purpose for a long time, but the only thing missing was ‘a tool’ to be able to conquer the will God put on his life.  For many years God was dealing with Da Minista’s heart and spirit preparing him that tool.  When God blew into Da Minista’s nostrils the gift of spiritual will He gave him the gift of radio.  That was it!!! That was the tool that was needed to fulfill the purpose, and the genre?  Gospel Hip Hop and Rhythm and Praise, which can be a challenge in itself but if used with love, patience and kindness it can serve the purpose.

Da Minista knew the tool of gospel hip hop and R&P had to get out there to young Christians so he turned his DJ service into a dedicated source to the new genre and conducted church events.  Churches were not receptive to the gospel hip hop music, so Da Minista began to conduct gospel hip hop events in parks, schools and anywhere young people were.  Da Minista knew there had to be more, more young people to reach and that’s when God put into action the tool in which he entrusted him with.  Da Minista began to DJ at a local radio station in Phoenix on AM.  He brought gospel hip hop to the new radio station and after a successful 3 month run the station was cancelled.  This did not deter Da Minista from getting his program on the radio so he went to 3 more stations to try to launch his show (gospel hip hop and R&P) with no success.

After all Da Minista’s determination God gave Da Minista a scripture from Psalms 46:10 (Be still and know that I am God).  Da Minista was obedient to this scripture and did exactly that.  He stood still and waited on God.  A week later God showed Da Minista the whole world and said if you promise to make your blessings a blessing I will give you the world.  (The World Wide Web) and www.theword1100.com was born and continued to grow into a non-profit ministry in 2009.
